Even though the weather man is calling for a few inches of snow tomorrow, Tuesday was the first official day of spring. That means the big real estate spring market is about to begin! Did you know that only 4% of home buyers can imagine a home differently than they actually see it? As the seller, you really have to win the potential buyer over starting with beautiful curb appeal. 

One of the easiest and quickest changes to make is to freshen up the front of your home with spring flowers and then focus on updating the exterior finishes.

One reasonable change to enhance your curb appeal is to change outdated light fixtures. Are the light fixtures out front of your home pitted or broken? Replace with new fixtures and be sure to use clear glass bulbs.

Repainting the front door can also create a big impact. Go for a bright color or a color that coordinates with your shutters. Red is always a great choice for a front door, but definitely don’t rule out navy blue or yellow.

If the potential buyer can’t see your home, they certainly can’t buy it! Be sure to trim up the shrubbery and mow and edge the lawn regularly. Imagine your home through the eyes of the buyer, it will help your home sell faster and for a more desirable price.
