Girl Time: The Importance of Female Friendships

11 Aug 2017, by Agricola Redesign Staff in Fun Fridays, Home Decor

We all know that a girls night out is super fun, but did you know spending time with your girlfriends also improves your health? At a time when people are becoming more and more isolated because of technology, overbooked schedules and hectic lifestyles, we encourage you to get out and spend as much time with your friends as you can!

If you’re looking for quality girl time, then you may want to consider attending a Wine and Redesign Retreat hosted by our very own Agricola Redesign Owner Diane Agricola and her dear friend Kristine Porter of Styling and Staging.

The mission of these retreats is to nurture your creative soul and get to know the decorating style within you. The retreat will send you home with decorating ideas, techniques, and motivation to create beautiful rooms as well as good memories of a great weekend spent with friends.

The first retreat will be held in Glendale from September 29 to October 1. You’ll stay at the Glendalia Boutique Hotel, located in the same historic downtown as Agricola Redesign and A Village Gift Shop. After you check-in, we’ll enjoy a wine tasting at Village Wines of Glendale before heading back to the hotel to relax.

Saturday starts with a visit to Agricola Redesign for a custom-designed workshop in interior redesign and color. After some morning lessons, we’ll head out to a client home and get a little hands-on practice, and see and amazing before and after transformation.

Then we head back to the Glendalia Culinary Studio for a cooking class and sip wine while we are served a delicious meal.  The final day of the retreat will involve sleeping in (yes!), one last redesign lesson, and a walking tour of historic Glendale.

Following the late September retreat, we’ll be meeting up again in Chicago for a Christmas retreat on the Magnificent Mile. In Chicago we’ll do some wine tastings, dinner, and Christmas decorating and of course shopping!
